We are proud to annouce that the 2008 Longview Red Bucket Shiraz Cabernet has been awarded the Trophy for Best Adelaide Hills wine at the prestigious 2010 International Wine Challenge (UK). The winery beat out names such as Shaw & Smith, Mr Riggs, Nepenthe, Starvedog Lane, Pike & Joyce and Tim Knappstein with their little giant killer of a wine. This comes as no surprise to us with reviews from Campbell Mattison and Tony Love suggesting that the Red Bucket Shiraz Cabernet is one of the best bargains under $20.

Australia's premier wine magazine Winestate Australia has announced its winners for its annual Wine of the Year Awards for 2009 and the winners include Grant Burge from the Barossa Valley and Majella of Coonawarra.

The winner of Shiraz of the Year was awarded to the 2007 Grant Burge Filsell, whilst the award for Cabernet of the Year went to the 2007 Majella Cabernet Sauvignon.

In what was a trying year for many in South Australia, it is an excellent sign that even in tough years the quality of wines from producers like Grant Burge and Majella are still up there with the best to be found in Australia.

Australia's premier wine magazine Winestate Australia has announced its finalists for its annual Wine of the Year Awards for 2009 and it includes our own Cuttaway Hill Estate from the Southern Highlands, NSW.

For the Chardonnnay category, the 2006 Cuttaway Hill Chardonnay was named in the final four for the best Chardonnay in Australia and New Zealand for 2009. The Cuttaway Hill Chardonnay was rated 5 STARS by Winestate reviewers during 2009 and it certainly shines a very bright light on the quality of wines coming out of the region, especially in great years like 2006.

In other Cuttaway news, the 2005 'Laurence' Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir was listed as one of the Top 18 Sparkling Wines in Australia by a panel of reviewers (including legendary Australian sparkling winemaker Ed Carr) for Selector magazine.
