The Burgundy based De Perriere is owned by Boisset, a family company ranked amongst the largest five wine producers in France. The flagship Cremant de Bourgogne is remarkably similar to Champagne in both its production process and varietal make-up. The 36 month ageing on lees, well beyond the legal minimum requirement, adds further complexity and makes this a wonderfully affordable Champagne alternative. The elegant salmon-pink Dry Rose is also methode traditionale, whilst the Blanc de Blancs Brut is an excellent entry-level French sparkling.
