The Gaucho Club
Mendoza, ARGENTINA
The key to the Gaucho Club wine is the source of the grapes: To create Gaucho Club, the team select the finest grapes from these leading wine growing sub-regions, to create the perfect blend, by variety: Uco Valley, Mendoza 1000 – 1200m above sea level - 40% of the blend comes from these high-altitude vineyards in the Andes Mountains. These grapes give the black fruit character, minerality & tannic structure to the wine. Cafayeate in the Calchaquíes Valley, Salta 1,680 - 1100masl. This is both a town and subregion in the most north-western province of Argentina, 1,329 kilometres (826 mi) from Buenos Aires. For Malbec, the area’s dry climate delivers very concentrated grapes featuring with thicker skins with an overall reduced yield. Flavours include a notable earthy terroir note showing strong, longer lasting complex flavours.
