Ponte di Piave, ITALY

This tingling fresh, sparkling prosecco is seductively delicious with its aromas of citrus fruit and exotic fruits. One sip and you’re sold. It consists of the glera grape. The bubbles are created during the so-called second fermentation. When the grapes are harvested, a normal, dry white wine is first made. Once it is ready, this still wine with sugar and yeast is put in a tank. The yeast gets to work with the sugar and together they form alcohol and carbon dioxide. Because this process takes place in a closed vessel, the carbon dioxide cannot escape and you get a wine with bubbles.
