Three generations of vignerons. Every one born and bred in McLaren Vale. But Mark Maxwell inherited more than a love for the vine and the Vale. It’s this family, after all, that pioneered the mead industry in Australia, setting the standard for honey wine globally. Their estate vineyards are some of the most favourably positioned in the McLaren Vale district. Situated on solid limestone, in proximity to the moderating effects of the Gulf of St Vincent, the conditions in the vineyards are ideal for producing small quantities of intensely flavoured grapes.
