Paracombe is located high on an ancient plateau with soils 1.7 billion years old, some of the oldest in the world, it is a family owned winery driven by heart, growing and making wines of provenance in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Paul and Kathy Drogemuller, planted a vineyard on a former dairy farm and made their first wines in a tin shed with a homemade basket press, second hand milk tanks and crusher and boldly launched Paracombe Wines in 1992. Over time Paracombe expanded their vineyards, designed and built a state of the art winery, underground cellars with a stunning cellar door boasting spectacular views. Paracombe wines are proudly handcrafted from the beginning to the end, with grape growing, winemaking, storage, packaging and distribution all done on site ensuring complete care for the production of beautiful wine made to enjoy.
